UPNG Law students from The University of Papua New Guinea’s School of Law recently completed their thirteen-week internship with Transparency International PNG. The internship is an ongoing program that has been part of a five-year Memorandum of Understanding between UPNG and TIPNG.

The three students, Andrea Maru, Jasmine Murray, and Lloyd Kombe greatly appreciated the opportunity to participate in the anti-corruption program in which they interviewed victims of, and witnesses to, corruption, collected corruption complaints and reports, updated TIPNG databases, and prepared legal case files for review and referral.

The School of Law and TIPNG have expressed much satisfaction with the current students’ performance and are keen to facilitate the next group in this ongoing five-year program.
