This course covers several modelling topics with frequent references to corporate finance theory, portfolio investment theory, and financial risk management theory. It highlights detailed analysis of relevant elements in financial economics through hands-on exercises and underscores holistics synthesis of financial applications through case studies of actual or hypothetical business entities.

The course is designed for students with some background in financial accounting, economics and a basic experience with Microsoft Excel. The selected topics are discussed to the extent required to progress through the whole course without the need for prior knowledge other than the prerequisite units reffered below
