The University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) is prominently located in the hear of Port Moresby, the Nation's Capital. The University's Central Administration and four of the five schools ( Business & Public Policy, Humanities & Social Sciences, Law, and Natural & Physical Sciences) are all situated at the Waigani Campus on a 405 hectare site.

The School of Medicine & Health Sciences is located at the Taurama Campus , adjacent to the Port Moresby General Hospital, which is some Seven Kilometres away from the Waigani Campus
