The School of Medicine and Health Sciences is mandated to train general and specialist medical officers and other health professionals including dentists, pharmacists, medical laboratory technologists, medical imaging technologists, and specialist graduate nursing officers. The School engages in research that is relevant to the health needs of the country and the region, participates in the formulation of health policy and provides community clinical services.
