This diploma program targets people in the workforce handling work that involves investigations, compliance monitoring and enforcement, prosecution and such work that involves the application of law. The program is recommended for Police prosecutors and criminal investigators, National Narcotics, Immigration, Fisheries, customs and enforcement officers, Internal Revenue Commission, judicial staff, health inspectors, PNGDF, Correctional Service personnel and other stakeholders in the criminal justice system. The program is spread over a period of two (2) years. Students must complete 16 courses to meet the requirement to graduate, which comprise of 11 compulsory law/DLP courses and two (3) enrichment courses; Computer Numeracy Literacy (CLN) and Communication and Life Skills (CLS) and Civics and Ethics and 2 optional law courses.

 

Elligibility Criteria

Generally, applicants are expected to have matriculated with a GPA of 2.75 and must have gained some relevant work experience in the above-stated work environments, over at least two (2) years. Preference is given to applicants with suitable work experience and background and a high GPA.
