Executive Dean's Message

Welcome to The University of Papua New Guinea, and to the School of Law, for all first year students, who are enrolled in the Degree and Diploma Programs. I also welcome all students from centres and locations outside the National Capital District. For many of you, this may be the first time that you have left your province and your families, while for others, this may be your first time in Port Moresby.

The School of Law (SOL) commenced as a faculty with six students in 1965-1966. It was one of the founding faculties of the University. Professor Gary Nash was the foundation professor, and was succeeded by Professor A.B. Weston in the early 1970s

Undergraduate Information

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

All successful Applicants to the School of Business & Public Policy Undergraduate Programs will take up the

Business & Management Foundation Year.

Upon successful completion of the Business & Management Foundation Year with a minimum overall GPA of 1.75, successful students can then apply for the programs offered by the school.
